Kirsty Lee Hutton
Kirsty Lee Hutton is an Australian author based in Brisbane, Queensland. Along with writing children’s books, she runs her own marketing business.
As the daughter of two teachers, Kirsty believes education can open impossible doors and is passionate about getting kids excited about learning.
Her goal is to write books that ignite the imagination of children as they read. (Who says the world can’t have a little magic?)
Kirsty is available to book as a speaker in schools, libraries and bookstores. Her talk topics are varied to cater to the age of the children listening. Generally, after reading a chapter or two of one of her books, she gives an inside look into the creative process of writing a story. This includes getting ideas, structuring the story, and the process of working with an illustrator to create a final book.
The talks are interactive, and Kirsty gets the children thinking about how they would react in certain situations. This includes discussing what they would do if they could turn invisible, or what they would (or would not) like to wear to a dress-up party if they know they would turn into their costume.

Cover Illustrator – Denzel Dezignz
The gorgeous cover characters are drawn by the talented Denzel, from Denzel Dezignz. He’s been drawing since he was one year old, and drew the first Kingsley Kids cover characters at the age of just eleven.
After admiring Denzel’s drawings for years, Kirsty knew when it was time to release the individual Kingsley Kids books, Denzel would help bring them to life. His eye for detail, flare for fashion and love of colour all help make the the characters pop on the book covers.
